Comparison of behavioral language between cats and dogs

I learned about the behavioral language of dogs in the last post🐶

As you know, the meaning of actions of gestures of dogs and cats😺 is different

Today, we will take a time to compare what dogs and cats mean when they do the same thing.

 

 

 

 

Keep one's tail straight.

The behavior of a dog with it's tail up means aggression.

It means "Don't come near me", "I', going to attack", "I', stronger than you"😡

 

On the other hand, the cat's tail-raising behavior indicates friendliness.

"Let's stay close.", "I'm very comfortable right now." It has meaning.😙

 

 

 

 

Set one's ears wide.

When a dog's ears are perked up, it means that he is either vigilant or attentive.🙁

Unlike dogs, cat's behavior of raising their ears indicates interest and good mood, and it is a state of beinig very excited to find an interesing object.🤩

 

 

 

 

Show me belly.

The behavior of a dog showing its belly has the meaning of obedience.

In terms of language, it means 'I will obey you' and 'Have me😘'.

 

Similarly to cats, the behavior of showing their belly is an act of showing faith.

However, if the cat showed its belly and set up its claws, this is ac act ready for attack😘

 

 

 

 

Turn to the side.

The dog's sideway turn is ' I'm a little vulnerable' and shows weakness and timidity.😥

 

But if a cat does someting that turn sideway, it's a threatening behavior.

It's what you do when you want to convey the meanig of ' I'm very big and threatening.'😎

 

 

 

 

Blink while looking into the eyes.

If you look iito the dog's eyes, it means that the dog takes it as a challange to himself.🤨

 

On the other hand, if you blink slowly while looking into your cat's eyes, this is said to be a lovely eye greeting of the cat.😍

 

 

 

 

Curl up

When the dog is afraid of something, he curls his head down and curls up as small as possible.

Likewise, cats do this when they are afraid of something.

At this time, both the dog and the cat have their tails curled between their hind legs.😨

 

 

 

 

So far, we've compred the behavioral language of dogs and cats.

The two were quite different, but there were similar behaviors.

Many people have difficulties when dogs and cats live together becase there is a diffrence in behavioral langauage between the two.
