What to do before you start a family with a pet

hello, This is DUZ:)

There are a lot of things to consider and think about before you decide to add a pet to your family, including what kind of parent you can be to them🧐.

So, in today's post, we're going to take a look at some of the things you need to consider before you start a family with a pet.

Living Environment

Before you decide to adopt a pet, here's what you need to know!

You need to consider what kind of living environment your pet will be living in.

For example, if you have a large dog, it's important to have enough space and room to run around and play.

Smaller pets, on the other hand, require less space, so space is less of a concern.

I also think it's important to consider not only your pet, but also the neighbors and people who live nearby.

Budget

Consider the costs of pet ownership💰

Whether it's food, vaccinations, or other essentials like toys and leashes, every pet comes with a certain amount of expenses to keep them company.

Many people feel overwhelmed by the cost of veterinary bills, especially since you never know when or how your pet will get sick.

That's why many people now have a separate savings account for their pets.

Time

They say a dog's favorite companion is someone with a simple life.

It's also said that pets are highly empathic, meaning they know their owners' psychological anxieties before anyone else does,

so I think the most important thing for a pet is to connect with you.

All relationships require time and attention.

If you're thinking about adopting a pet, make sure you have the time to make that special connection with your pet.

family member

If you have family members who live with you before adopting a pet, make sure everyone is on board with the idea.

Someone may have an issue with certain aspects of the pet, such as allergies, or they may have different views and opinions about the pet.

Therefore, it's a good idea to discuss your current family's pre-adoption opinions, as well as the lifestyle and rules that will be in place after the adoption, before proceeding with the adoption.

Adopt-A-Pet

I think the first thing I would do before adopting a pet is to think about why I want to have a pet.

While there has been a lot of awareness, there is still a preference for small, cute young pets or breeders, and many pets are still born in unethical places, such as breeding farms where they are bred on a large scale for breeding purposes and sold through pet stores.

In addition, many pets are abandoned because they become a nuisance or a burden after adoption, or because people don't properly research the characteristics of the pet they're adopting, and instead choose a pet based on its appearance.

I hope that many people will adopt through a shelter or animal protection organization to prevent further damage and other unfortunate situations.

Family is something that sticks with you through thick and thin.

It takes a lot of time and effort to build a true family with a pet, but we want you to feel the joy and love that comes with it like nothing else.
