Food that cats should avoid

Food that cats should avoid

Hello, This is Duz!

Today, we are going to learn about foods that cats with both cuteness and chic charm should avoid.

Care should be taken because there are cases where pets are not resistant to certain foods.

This time, we will look at the foods that cats should not eat.

Milk and dairy products

Cats do not have the lactose-degrading enzymes needed to digest dairy products, which can cause problems such as digestive disorders, diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain when consumed in excess.

In addition to lactose, sugar in grains, potatoes, and corn is also difficult to digest in cats and dogs. 🙅

Of course, a small intake will not cause any major problems immediately,
but it is recommended to be careful because it can occur when continuously consuming too much.

Chocolate

Chocolate, which helps recharge energy and refresh your mood, is said to have serotonin and theobromine in cacao beans, the main ingredient, making people feel happy. 😋

However, cats cannot metabolize these ingredients, which causes problems with the heart and nervous system due to severe poisoning symptoms when ingested, so it is recommended that you contact the animal hospital and seek medical attention as soon as you find it.

Onion and garlic

Onions and garlic are often eaten heated or raw, but they are said to be fatal for cats.

Among the ingredients in onions and garlic, n-propyl disulfide can destroy red blood cells in the blood, causing anemia, shortness of breath, and organ damage.

These ingredients are not only onions and garlic, but also green onions and chives

Since it is found in green onion plants, you have to be careful when eating it, and in addition to this, you have to be careful of crops such as avocados and tomatoes.

Seafood

Seafood, one of people's favorite ingredients, is also difficult for cats to digest.

In addition, seafood such as squid, oysters, and shellfish, including a toxin called cardrinolin, which is difficult for cats to detoxify, destroys blood after ingestion and causes symptoms of addiction, which can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and seizures, and can be life-threatening.

Fruit

It is recommended not to allow cats to eat strawberries, grapes, lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruits.

It is also dangerous to give fruits to cats because it is difficult to digest the sugars from fruits.

However, it is not bad to give fruits with high moisture, such as watermelons🍉, to increase water intake in hot weather such as summer, but it is recommended to give a small amount of about one spoon because potassium in watermelons is not good for your kidneys.

I knew that dogs and cats should be careful of salt, but in addition to the foods I introduced, I found that I had to be careful of a larger number of foods than I thought.

Also, before eating man-made food and snacks, cats in nature hunted mainly small animals such as insects and birds, and installations and rabbits. 🐈

Cats are said to have lived in nature, replenishing their own necessary nutrients in a timely manner.

We often think about the things I've given up on as pets.

However, on the contrary, it was a time when I felt more grateful and loving to my pet next to me when I thought about the things I lost with us.

I hope you have a great time with your pet today
I'll say hello with a helpful post next time :)
